The Chrysler Pacifica is a front-drive minivan with optional all-wheel drive, a 287-hp V6 and a nine-speed automatic. For 2027 it gets a new front end with an illuminated grille, a revised trim ladder that starts with the LX (Chrysler calls it the former Voyager), and a split tech package. It is built for families who want seating for seven or eight, a flat load floor on demand and a low entry price. Only gas models are offered for 2027; the plug-in hybrid was a 2026 model.
The Midwest take
The Pacifica is the Midwest family minivan: seven or eight seats, Stow 'n Go seats that fold into the floor, and power sliding doors for hockey bags in a parking-lot snowdrift. AWD is optional on Select, Limited and Pinnacle, and the LX trim, which is front-drive only, includes heated seats and a heated steering wheel as standard. Ground clearance is only about 5 inches, which means plowed streets are fine and unplowed side streets can be a push, so budget for winter tires. The plug-in hybrid is gone; the 2027 Pacifica uses one 287-hp V6. Pacificas are built in Windsor, Ontario, just across the river from Detroit.
On the LX, Select and Limited, both the second- and third-row seats fold into the floor, leaving a flat load area with up to 140.5 cubic feet of space. The Pinnacle keeps Stow 'n Go in the third row but swaps in removable second-row captain's chairs. Chrysler says the Pacifica is the only minivan that pairs this system with available all-wheel drive.
Every Pacifica seats seven, and the Select can be configured for eight passengers with a second-row bench. The available FamCAM interior camera lets the driver keep an eye on rear passengers, including a rear-facing child seat.
AWD is available on the Select, Limited and Pinnacle and is not offered on the LX. It costs a few mpg, with EPA ratings of 17/25 mpg city/highway against 19/28 for the front-drive vans.
The LX takes over from the Voyager and starts at $41,595 before destination. Power sliding doors, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel come standard, but all-wheel drive is not offered on this trim.
Updated styling gives the Pacifica a new grille and wing badge, but the 3.6-liter V6 and nine-speed automatic carry over. It makes 287 hp and 262 lb-ft, with a 3,600-pound tow rating when equipped with the Trailer Tow Group.
The old Theater Group is now two packages. The Family Tech Group bundles the 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 screen, upgraded audio, FamCAM, window shades, a 115-volt outlet and more, while the Theater Group covers the Amazon Fire TV rear-seat entertainment, so you only buy what you will use.

With AWD and winter tires, yes. The AWD system is available on Select, Limited and Pinnacle trims. The Pacifica sits low, at about 5.1 to 5.4 inches of ground clearance, so it manages plowed roads better than deep snow. The front-drive LX is fine on plowed roads with winter tires.
No. Chrysler builds the Pacifica at its Windsor Assembly Plant in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, directly across the Detroit River from Michigan. It is part of the same Detroit-area industrial cluster as the Michigan plants, but it is a Canadian-built vehicle.
No. The 2027 Pacifica lineup has a single powertrain, the 3.6-liter V6, and chrysler.com lists the Pacifica Hybrid among its discontinued vehicles. The plug-in hybrid appears in Chrysler's configurator only as a 2026 model, so shoppers who want one should look at remaining new stock or pre-owned examples.
Chrysler's 2027 Pacifica announcement describes the new Pacifica LX as the former Voyager. It keeps the older exterior design and starts the Pacifica range at $41,595 before destination. The 2026 Voyager is still listed on chrysler.com as its own model, with limited quantities noted.
Prices start at $41,595 for the LX and climb to $54,910 for the Pinnacle with front-wheel drive, or $57,905 with all-wheel drive. The Select starts at $43,645 and the Limited at $48,095. All figures exclude tax, title, fees and a $1,995 destination charge.
With the available Trailer Tow Group, the 2027 Pacifica is rated to tow 3,600 pounds. That is enough for a small camper, a pair of jet skis or a utility trailer.
AWD is optional on Select, Limited and Pinnacle but is not offered on the LX. It trims fuel economy to 17/25 mpg city/highway, compared with 19/28 mpg for the front-drive models.
