2018 Dodge Charger maintenance schedule

The factory schedule for normal driving. Oil changes follow the oil-change indicator on most models; severe use (towing, dusty roads, lots of idling) shortens some intervals.

A dot means the service is due at that mileage or after that many years, whichever comes first. Engines: see schedule title.

Service20k2 yr30k3 yr40k4 yr50k5 yr60k6 yr70k7 yr80k8 yr90k9 yr100k10 yr110k11 yr120k12 yr130k13 yr140k14 yr150k15 yr
Additional Inspections
Inspect the CV joints.
Inspect front suspension, tie rod ends, boot seals, and replace if necessary.
Inspect the rear axle fluid. Inspect the front axle fluid (All Wheel Drive Only).
Inspect the brake linings, replace as necessary.
Adjust park brake on vehicles equipped with four wheel disc brakes.
Inspect transfer case fluid (All Wheel Drive Only).
Additional Maintenance
Replace engine air filter.
Replace cabin/air conditioning filter.
Replace spark plugs.
Flush and replace the engine coolant at 10 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 km) whichever comes first.
Change the transfer case fluid; if using your vehicle for any of the following: police, taxi, fleet, off-road, or frequent trailer towing. (All Wheel Drive Only).
Change the rear axle fluid and on models equipped with All Wheel Drive (AWD) change the front axle fluid if using your vehicle for any of the following: police, taxi, fleet, off-road, or frequent trailer towing.
Inspect and replace PCV valve if necessary.

Severe Duty All Models

  • Change Engine Oil at 4,000 miles (6,500 km) if the vehicle is operated in a dusty and off road environment or is operated predominately at idle or only very low engine RPM’s. This type of vehicle use is considered Severe Duty.

Once A Month Or Before A Long Trip

  • Check engine oil level
  • Check windshield washer fluid level
  • Check tire pressure and look for unusual wear or damage. Rotate tires at the first sign of irregular wear, even if it occurs before your next scheduled service.
  • Check the fluid levels of the coolant reservoir, brake master cylinder, and power steering and fill as needed.
  • Check function of all interior and exterior lights

At Every Oil Change Interval As Indicated By Oil Change Indicator System

  • Change oil and filter
  • Rotate the tires. Rotate at the first sign of irregular wear, even if it occurs before your next scheduled service
  • Inspect battery and clean and tighten terminals as required
  • Inspect brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums, hoses and park brakeCheck the fluid levels of the coolant reservoir, brake master cylinder, and power steering and fill as needed.
  • Inspect engine cooling system protection and hosesCheck function of all interior and exterior lights
  • Inspect exhaust system
  • Inspect engine air cleaner if using in dusty or off-road conditions
